PADI / OWSI Instructor needed in Pemba, Tanzania

Do you want to live and work in a beautiful island resort? A Private & remote resort on Pemba Island is looking for a diving instructor to operate small group tours and courses. New instructors are encouraged to apply, especially if you have worked in African resorts before.

Tasks: 

• Managing clients, scheduling dives and courses, and maintaining all aspects of the dive equipment.

Requirements:

• Fluent in English. Additional languages are a bonus.
• Understanding of the African environment and willingness to participate in the local culture.
• Basic knowledge of gear maintenance and flexibility is a must.

Qualifications:

• PADI / OWSI Open Water Scuba Instructor certification with active teaching status.
• Previous experience working in Africa or isolated resorts.
• Passion for mentoring and motivating guests and fostering cultural understanding of the area.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, ability to work without direct supervision, and adaptability to often changing, dynamic environments.
• Demonstrated success working on diverse teams with a collaborative mindset.
• Wilderness First Responder (WFR) or willingness to obtain certification before programs begin is strongly preferred.
• Physically fit to actively participate in outdoor adventure activities.
• Great communication skills and a professional demeanor to serve as a resort ambassador to our international guests.
• Willingness to interact with guests and collaborate with the team to achieve the ultimate guest experience.

We offer:
