Hiring diving instructors in Italy

We are looking for passionate guides and instructors who share our philosophy and who with motivation contribute to consolidating the model of excellence in diving that has always inspired our founders.

Position Description: Dive Instructor / Environmental Dive guide / Boat Captain-Crew / General Maintenance / Rental equipment / Retail / Front Office

Seasonal work contract (from April through October)

Objectives: To supply an excellent diving experience for guests of the dive center. To promote citizen science and participate in marine conservation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

To prepare the dive boat at the beginning of each day (including cleaning and washing, load cylinders, and daily operational checks)
To Ensure That Each Guest Is
- set up with the correct equipment and fully prepared to dive
- provided with the best dive experience we can offer
- aware of all safety procedures
To portray a positive attitude towards work, colleagues guests. Your appearance reflects the image of Portofino Divers, so a professional appearance is important at all times.
Ensure all rental equipment is in good working order.
To help with maintenance on the boat, compressor, dock, and facility.
To ensure that all training programs are to PADI teaching standards conducted in a safe manner.
Ensure the cleanliness of the dive center.

Requirements:

Certified PADI OW Scuba Instructor
Pleasure boat license
Fluent in Italian and English
Enthusiastic about diving and loves to share his/her passion for the ocean with others.
Attentive in marine conservation actions and environment aware
Interested in growing professionally
Committed to constantly improving his/her diving skills
Willing and physically able to lift and carry tanks and equipment on a daily basis.
Inclined to continue the employment relationship in the following years
